    Some of you may ask

    • what is Google Gears?
    • What the hell do i need it for?
    • Bleh i dont wanna know cause im a yahoo fan

So now i’ll explain what it is.

Gears is an open source project that enables more powerful web applications, by adding new features to your web browser:

Desktop Let web applications interact naturally with your desktop
Database Store data locally in a fully-searchable database
WorkerPool Run JavaScript in the background to improve performance

    System requirements

    • Windows XP/Vista
    • Firefox 1.5+ and Internet Explorer 6.0+

Gears is available for Windows, Windows Mobile, Mac (Firefox, Safari), and Linux

What gears does is it basically stores the data of the website that has google gears support like mine onto your computer so that everytime you come back to the site it will read the data off your computer and it will load much faster. You can say it as a tweak but well its not.

You can also use gears to upload multiple videos at once to youtube with each a 1024 = 1GB limit.

The 1GB limit is for per video.

    Hope you enjoyed this post!
